My first answer would be "not much!" but then I realized that this is roughly what Galileo had with the first telescope, and he discovered the craters on the Moon and the satellites of Jupiter with it. A telescope with only 30mm aperture is little more than a toy; you'd do much better with 10x50 binoculars. The question isn't how far you can see into space, but how faint can you see and how much detail can you resolve. Even with your naked eye, you can see the Andromeda Galaxy, 2.5 million light years away.

Mars is a major challenge for any telescope. Even when it's at its closest (which it won't be for well over a decade) it shows almost nothing in any but the largest and best amateur telescopes. Jupiter and Saturn are much more rewarding, but Saturn is heading into a period for the next two years where its rings will be almost edge-on to us, and hence nearly invisible. Jupiter is a treat in any telescope, but at its best with apertures 150mm or larger. That really is the minimum size for satisfying observing of the Moon, planets, and deep sky objects.
